Space Capone was carefully selected to cap off the second Miller Made Music Showcase at the Mercy Lounge. Aaron Winter, also known as Space Capone, recently released his first album entitled Volume 1. Transformation. Later Space Capone appeared on the Local Lightning Spotlight with the song "If It Feels Good". Aaron introduced himself to the crowd in the first song "Space Capone", would energize the audience enough to dance for next hour.
After hearing a few people at the station say that Spiderman and Gumby might be making an appearance at the show, my brain wrapped around all the different references this could pertain to. Later I was set at ease later when the web slinger and clay avenger hopped out onto the stage for "I Just Want to Dance". Before Spiderman left the stage, he proved his super powers by ripping down the Lightning 100 banner from the side. At that point, I realized that this must be a impostor, the real Spiderman can hold his booze.
Space Capone finished off the night with a twenty minute version of "Give the People What They Want". Normally one song can not keep people's attention for twenty minutes unless they are at a Phish concert, but the crowd was entertained until the end. "I guess the people wanted to hear that rift over and over. They kept singing along for most of the song.",said Sam Farkus, guitarist for Space Capone. At the end of the show, half of the audience chanted for one more song while the other tried to get into the back to meet Space Capone. We "accidentally" let a few girls in.
